Pageant

The purpose of pageant is to provide young women the opportunity to further their education goals through the scholarship. The event also provides the women life long learning experience of becoming key leaders in their community. The young woman selected will receive a $1000.00 scholarship to the college of her choice in return for one year of community service (in addition to many other great prizes).

Participants will be judged in an interview conducted by distinguished judges, a written essay, speaking ability, poise and personality. There is no talent or bathing suit competition in this pageant. 

The Miss San Dieguito is the preliminary pageant to the Fairest of the Fair/San Diego Pageant where there is a $5000.00 scholarship and then on the the Miss California Pageant where even larger scholarships are awarded.  There will be awards for Miss Congeniality, Essay Award, Highest Sponsorship Achievement as well as other gifts for the runners up.
